Context

Ford wanted to reposition itself as a future-focused technology and mobility company rather than simply an automotive manufacturer. The challenge was to communicate long-term innovation — electric vehicles, automation, and new forms of urban mobility — in a way that felt inspiring and tangible rather than abstract.

Approach

The campaign drew inspiration from classic 1980s science-fiction cinema. Two children discover a mysterious orb that transforms the world around them — an imaginative, human-scale vision of the future of mobility. The idea became the central expression of a fully integrated campaign spanning cinema, television, radio, social, print, and out-of-home.

Outcome

The film served as the hero expression of a national 360° campaign and helped reposition Ford around a more future-focused mobility narrative while generating strong audience engagement online.
